Industrial Way Lubricants are products formulated for lubricating the ways of various types of machine tools. They are blended from paraffin base stocks and have been compounded with additives to impart outstanding lubricity and extreme pressure properties. Way lubricants exhibit the high film strength that allows a build-up of a heavy oil film to reduce wear and contribute to accurate system component positioning. The lubricant contains a tackifier that prevents fluid from draining away from lubricated surfaces and minimizes fluid extraction between heavily loaded ways. The tackiness may also reduce lubricant wash out by emulsifiable cutting fluids.
